Round
31
Oakland Athletics
Player: Sasha Kuebel
Height: 6-1
Weight: 195
Hometown: St. Louis, MO
Current Team: St. Louis HS
Position: P
Bats: R
Throws: L
ANALYSIS: Sasha Kuebel has a commitment to pitch for Iowa next season. He went 24-1 in high school and was also an accomplished hitter. Kuebel's fastball sits in the high-80s and he has an advanced arsenal of secondary pitches – including a good change-up – for a player his age. He may have some additional velocity in him down-the-road. It will likely be difficult for the A's to sign Kuebel away from his college commitment.

Round
32
Oakland Athletics
Player: Drew Granier
Height: 6-1
Weight: 175
Hometown: Thibodaux, LA
Current Team: Louisiana-Monroe
Position: P
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Drew Granier uses a three-quarters throwing motion. His fastball sits in the high-80s, low-90s and he has a solid change-up. Granier struck-out 86 in 86 innings, although he did walk 39. A senior, he should sign quickly.

Round
33
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-10
Weight: 170
Hometown: Fairfax, VA
Current Team: California
Position: 2B
Bats: L
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Austin Booker has excellent bloodlines and is the son of legendary Cal baseball player Rod Booker, who played in the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals. Booker had a relatively non-descript first three seasons playing for Cal, but he had a big redshirt senior season, batting .313. He has been a key cog in Cal's run into the post-season. He should sign soon after the Golden Bears' season ends.

Round
34
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-1
Weight: 175
Hometown: Cuba
Current Team: No School
Position: P
Bats: L
Throws: L
ANALYSIS: Alfredo Unzue is one of the more unusual draft picks the A's have made in quite some time. A native of Cuba, Unzue is already 25 and he will turn 26 in August. There isn't much information available about him on the Internet, but it appears that he pitched at a high level in Cuba for a number of years. Given that experience, he could start in Double-A or higher when he signs.

Round
35
Oakland Athletics
Player: Max Perlman
Height: 7-7
Weight: 230
Hometown: Longwood, FL
Current Team: Harvard
Position: P
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Max Perlman has battled some elbow injuries during his career with the Crimson. He pitched well during the Cape Cod League last summer and he had a strong senior season. Perlman had a 1.80 ERA in 60 innings and was a first-team Ivy League selection. He is the first Harvard pitcher to be drafted since the A's took Shawn Haviland in 2008. Perlman has a good change-up and he struck-out 55 while walking 17 in 60 innings this season.

Round
36
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-10
Weight: 185
Hometown: Vacaville, CA
Current Team: Vacaville HS
Position: SS
Bats: L
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Brenden Farney was the first of two Vacaville High players to be drafted by the A's on Day 3. A Cal commit, Farney isn't a big guy, but he has a muscular build and decent power for a player his size. Farney is a shortstop now but is likely to be a second baseman down the road. It will likely be difficult to buy him out of his Cal commitment.

Round
37
Oakland Athletics
Player: Eric Wood
Height: 6-2
Weight: 195
Hometown: Oshawa, ON
Current Team: No School
Position: 3B
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Eric Wood entered the draft last season as a right-handed pitcher but went undrafted. He impressed at the Connie Mack World Series for the Ontario Blue Jays as a hitter. The Ontario Blue Jays website describes Wood as having good power. As a two-way player, he likely has a strong arm.

Round
38
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-0
Weight: 180
Hometown: San Jose, CA
Current Team: St. Francis HS
Position: SS
Bats: L
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Alex Blandino is a Stanford commit. He was a shortstop and a pitcher for the Lancers this season. Despite being on the smaller side, he hit nine homers in 31 games in 2011 and batted .410. He also stole 18 bases. He is likely to go to college. Ironically, Blandino's coach at St. Francis is named Mike Oakland.

Round
39
Oakland Athletics
Player: Shane Boras
Height: 6-9
Weight: 155
Hometown: Newport Coast, CA
Current Team: USC
Position: SS
Bats: B
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Shane Boras is the oldest son of the famous agent Scott Boras. Shane's younger brother Trent was also drafted this year, going in the 30th round to Milwaukee. Shane didn't play much at USC the past two years. He redshirted in 2010 and appeared in only 14 games – all off the bench – this year for the Trojans. Although the infielder hasn't gotten much of a chance to play for USC, he shined for the California Collegiate League amateur Academy Barons squad last summer. He is expected to sign.

Round
40
Oakland Athletics
Player: Nic Coffman
Height: 6-3
Weight: 180
Hometown: Portland, OR
Current Team: Wilson HS
Position: SS
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Nic Coffman is the son of A's scout Jim Coffman. He was a two-way player in high school, batting .320 and posting a 3.25 ERA. Coffman is committed to Lane Community College and is expected to attend the school in the fall.

Round
41
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-10.5
Weight: 175
Hometown: Bangor, PA
Current Team: Pius X
Position: SS
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Brett Bittiger is the son of A's scout Jeff Bittiger, who scouted a number of the A's Northeast draftees, including Tyler Vail, Vin Mazzaro and Andrew Bailey. The younger Bittiger hit better than .500 as a senior. He is expected to play for Fairleigh Dickinson University next season.

Round
42
Oakland Athletics
Player: Brett Geren
Height: 6-10.5
Weight: 185
Hometown: Danville, CA
Current Team: San Ramon Valley HS
Position: C
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Brett Geren is the younger brother of 2010 A's draft pick Bobby Geren and the son of former A's manager and bench coach Bob Geren. Like his father and brother, Brett is a catcher. He will be following in brother Bobby's footsteps to Princeton to play for the Tigers in the fall.

Round
43
Oakland Athletics
Player: Adam Frank
Height: 6-0.5
Weight: 195
Hometown: Gilbert, AZ
Current Team: William Fields HS
Position: P
Bats: L
Throws: L
ANALYSIS: In 2006, the A's took a high school pitcher in the draft who had a Dartmouth commitment and Oakland was able to convince that pitcher to sign. The A's are not likely to have the same luck with Adam Frank as they had with Trevor Cahill five years ago. Frank struck-out 79 in 51 innings for William Fields this season.

Round
44
Oakland Athletics
Height:
Weight:
Hometown: Rochester, NY
Current Team: Aquinas Institute
Position: SS
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Chris Bostick was an accomplished two-sport star at the Aquinas Institute, as he starred as wide-receiver and shortstop. Bostick is expected to attend St. John's University in Queens next year. Not surprisingly, Bostick has plus speed. He profiles as a top-of-the-order type hitter.

Round
45
Oakland Athletics
Player: C.J. Jacobe
Height: 6-0
Weight: 190
Hometown: Vacaville, CA
Current Team: Vacaville HS
Position: OF
Bats: L
Throws: L
ANALYSIS: C.J. Jacobe was the second player drafted by the A's from Vacaville HS. He is a Santa Clara commit and was a two-way star for the Bulldogs. Jacobe, who was recruited by A's scout Jermaine Clark, hit .436 and was the MEL Player of the Year. He is likely to go to college.

Round
46
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-11
Weight: 170
Hometown: Granite Bay, CA
Current Team: Granite Bay HS
Position: C
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Nate Esposito is the second member of the Oregon State recruiting class to be drafted by the A's. Esposito played both behind the plate and in the infield, but teams like him as a catcher. He is quick behind the plate and has a strong arm.

Round
47
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-10
Weight: 165
Hometown: San Diego, CA
Current Team: Grossmont JC
Position: OF
Bats: L
Throws: L
ANALYSIS: Jeriel Waller is the nephew of A's coach Tye Waller. Jeriel attended the same high school as former A's Eric Chavez and Eric Munson, as well as current bullpen catcher Casey Chavez and GM Billy Beane. Waller was first-team All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference this season. He hit .338 with a .384 OBP and 11 stolen bases.

Round
48
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-4
Weight: 205
Hometown: Richmond, CA
Current Team: Pinole Valley HS
Position: OF
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Travis Feeney was a star in two sports at Pinole Valley High: football and baseball. He has a scholarship to play football at Washington next season and he told Scout.com's Washington site that he will be attending UW in the fall.

Round
49
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-3
Weight: 180
Hometown: Columbus, GA
Current Team: The Pendleton School
Position: OF
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: Charles Sheffield was a top outfielder and pitcher for The Pendleton School in Florida. He is committed to Georgia Tech, where he is expected to play in the fall. Sheffield is already 6'3'' and he has a frame that should add a lot of muscle as he matures. He already has good power and should gain more. His arm is above-average, as well.

Round
50
Oakland Athletics
Height: 6-4
Weight: 200
Hometown: El Dorado, CA
Current Team: Cypress JC
Position: P
Bats: R
Throws: R
ANALYSIS: The aptly named Travis Pitcher just finished his second season at Cypress JC. He showed strike-out stuff at Cypress, but struggled with his command. Pitcher has a projectable frame. It is the second consecutive year that the A's have ended a draft by selecting a college right-hander. Oakland took T.J. Walz from Kansas in the 50th round last season and re-drafted him this year.
