OAKLAND - The Oakland A's were in desperate need of production at first base. So naturally, they brought in an outfielder from the minor leagues to try and stabilize the position.

Brandon Moss was promoted from Triple-A Sacramento Wednesday to replace Kila Ka'aihue, who was designated for assignment by the A's.
