BURLINGTON, IA - There were several pitchers from the Oakland A's 2012 draft class who impressed during their first pro stints. Austin House, the A's 24ht-dound selection, was one of those impressive hurlers. The New Mexico alum made his mark in college as a starter but worked as a reliever in his first pro stint to keep his inning totals down and thrived in the new role.

????After splitting time with Ryan Dull as the closer at short-season Vermont and collecting five saves to go with a 1.05 ERA over 18 appearances, Austin House earned a coveted promotion to Low-A Burlington in time for the Midwest League playoff race.
