Nothing Dull About Snappers' Closer

Dull has put together an All-Star first half.

BURLINGTON, IA - Since turning pro last June, right-hander Ryan Dull has put up some eye-popping numbers out of the bullpen. Dull has been the closer for the Beloit Snappers all season and his success in that role has recently resulted in a league-wide accolade. The key to Dull's success this year has been his command and his improvement of a new third pitch.

At the lower levels of minor league baseball, pitchers become dominant starters after adding a third reliable pitch. But by mastering the slider – his third legitimate pitch – this offseason, right-hander Ryan Dull has become an all-star pitcher at the back end of manager Ryan Christensen's bullpen.
