Oakland A's Prospect Q&A: Boog Powell, OF

TROY, NY - Coming into the 2013 season, Oakland A's prospect Boog Powell was known more for his interesting nickname than for his prospect status. After a solid season for short-season Vermont in the pitcher-friendly New York-Penn League, however, Powell has made a name for himself as a player on the rise in the A's system. Donald Moore spoke with Powell for a Q&A.

The Vermont Lake Monsters struggled as a team offensively this season, but when they did click, they were led by a pair of speedy outfielders at the top of their line-up: B.J. Boyd and Boog Powell.
