Though the 4th of July is not typically a gift giving holiday, Daric Barton got a present, he got promoted to Double-A. This is worth stating, because if you simply looked at his first half and second half statistics, you probably wouldn't realize it. Barton hit .318 with five homers, 20 doubles, 37 RBI and 35 walks against only 30 strikeouts during the first half at Hi-A. During the second half, in Double-A, he hit .316 with eight homers, 16 doubles, 52 RBI and 62 walks against only 49 Ks.
