Oakland A's MLN: Italiano Struck By Liner

Putnam left Sacramento's game with an injury.

The Oakland A's minor league affiliates had a good night on the field on Monday, but they sustained two injuries to top prospects. Righty Craig Italiano was struck in the head with a line-drive and had to be hospitalized. OF Danny Putnam was struck on the wrist with a pitch and had to leave the game.

He walked off the field under his own power after being tended to for several minutes. He was later sent to the hospital for observation.
