Sacramento homerun leader Jason Perry signs an autograph for fans before Wednesday's game. Perry has 18 homers for the River Cats and 23 total on the season.

Starter Colby Lewis was brilliant for Sacramento, but he was stuck with the loss despite allowing only one run in eight innings. He struck out 10 and walked none while allowing four hits. Lewis has a 7-2 record and a 2.00 ERA for Sacramento this season.

Lewis was stuck with the loss because Oklahoma starter Edinson Volquez was even better than Lewis. He didn't allow a run in seven innings, striking out nine and allowing two hits and two walks. He is 5-0 with a 2.03 ERA for Oklahoma.

Nick Blasi led off for Sacramento and went 0-3 with a sacrifice. He is batting .300 for the River Cats with a .352 OBP.

Jeremy Brown has his bat shattered by a Volquez pitch. He went 0-2 with a walk in the game.

Gregorio Petit got the start at shortstop for Sacramento. Petit was recently named the top defensive infielder in the Texas League in a poll conducted by Baseball America.

Petit's double-play partner was Kevin Melillo on Wednesday. Melillo had been playing some third base since returning from a sprained right wrist, but he was back at his natural position, second base, on Wednesday.

From left to right, Lou Merloni, Jorge Piedra, Dee Brown and Daric Barton take in the action from the River Cats' dugout.

Oklahoma's Dave Matranga scores a run just before another Red Hawks runner was gunned down at second to end the inning.

Jeremy Brown dives for a grounder that is just beyond his reach. Brown played at third on Wednesday.

Ron Flores relieved Lewis in the ninth inning and retired the only two batters he faced.

Brad Ziegler relieved Flores and he allowed an unearned run in one-third of an inning.

Oklahoma's Ezequiel Astacio worked the final two innings for his second save.
