Travis Banwart models the Ports' green hat. The Ports had a "Go-Green" day at Banner Island Ballpark on Saturday. Banwart hasn't pitched since May 29th. He is nursing a sore right shoulder, but he has thus far avoided the disabled list.

Trevor Cahill got the start for the Ports. Earlier this week, Cahill was named to the California League All-Star team. He leads the Cal League with 103 strike-outs.

Alberto Bastardo was outstanding for Inland Empire, tossing five shut-out innings, allowing only four hits. He earned his fourth win of the year.

Trevor Cahill didn't have his best command on Saturday, walking a season-high six batters. He did have his change-up working, however, using it to strike-out four.

Archie Gilbert gave the Ports a chance to score when he stole two bases, but was stranded at third base. The Ports have struggled to score for Trevor Cahill over his last six starts.

Branden Dewing came on in the seventh and pitched two scoreless innings before running into trouble in the ninth. He finished having been charged with four runs in 2.1 innings of work.

Jose Guzman came on in the ninth inning and allowed two inherited runners to score. Stockton will be pitching without one of their best relievers for the rest of the season, as Arnold Leon has been returned to Mexico, per the agreement between the A's and Leon's Mexican League team.

Raul Padron singled to start the ninth, but would go no further than first. Padron will serve a three-game suspension next week as a result of the brawl Stockton had last week with the Modesto Nuts. Matt Sulentic was suspended earlier in the week and Jermaine Mitchell is currently serving his three-game suspension. Jose Fragoso, who was injured in the brawl, was also suspended. He served his suspension and then was placed on the DL.
