The Oakland A’s today reinstated outfielder Travis Buck from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento.
Travis Buck was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 24 retroactive to April 19 with shin splints, his third stint on the DL in the last two years.
He was batting .154 with no home runs and six RBI in 15 games with the A’s and his average was the lowest mark in the American League when he was placed on the DL. Buck began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento a week ago today and was hitting .238 (5 for 21) with a home run and four RBI in six starts in center field with the River Cats.
