Selected by the A's in the 1st round of the June 2004 Draft.
2004 Highlights:
* Started his professional career in Short-Season A Vancouver.
* Appeared in 11 games for the Canadians and hit .289 with two homeruns.
* Was the first A's 2004 draft pick to be promoted to Kane County.
* Appeared in 48 games for the Cougars and hit .224 with a .354 OBP.
* Had seven homeruns and 27 RBI for the Cougars.
* Hit .378 in his final season with the Stanford Cardinal with 16 homeruns and 62 RBI and was a First-Team All American.
Career Highlights:
* All-Pac Ten in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
* Only committed two errors in 230 chances over his college career (.991 fielding percentage).
