* Named Oakland A's organizational pitcher of the year.
* Saved 19 games at three levels of minor leagues (A, AA, AAA).
* Finished the Futures Game for the World Team.
* Struck out 102 batters in 62.1 minor league innings.
* Made his major league debut for Oakland against Minnesota on August 9.
* Threw two scoreless innings in the A's 8-2 victory that day.
Career Highlights:
* Won a career-high 6 games for the A's Dominican League team in 2000 as a starter.
* Went 4-2 with a 2.85 ERA on the A's rookie league team in 2001 as a starter.
* Missed parts of the 2002 season with injuries.
