Selected by the A's in the 3rd round of the June 2004 Draft.
2004 Highlights:
* Split his first professional season between Vancouver and Kane County.
* Made four relief appearances for the Canadians and did not allow a run, while striking out five, walking zero and allowing four hits. He had three saves
* Was promoted to Kane County, where he made nine relief appearances.
* Threw 13 innings for the Cougars and had a 1-0 record with a 2.77 ERA and three saves.
* His work was limited once he joined the A's organization due to a heavy work load with Cal State Fullerton during his season campaign.
Career Highlights:
* Was the Most Outstanding Player of the 2004 College World Series.
* Led the Cal State Fullerton Titans to the 2004 CWS Championship.
* Was the 2004 Co-Big West Pitcher of the Year.
