Among four Bulldogs to start all 60 games in 2006...Hit career-best .336, third-highest batting average on the team...Ranked third on the team with 83 hits, including a team-leading 18 doubles and four home runs...Scored a team-best 60 runs and collected 42 RBI to tie for fourth on the team...Drew 36 starts behind the dish and 24 mainly late-season starts at third base...Had hits in 50 of 60 games played...Opened the year with hits in 16 of his first 17 games...Finished third on the team with 24 multi-hit games, five in his first eight games...Also recorded 10 multi-RBI games...Had three or more hits in seven games...Put together a pair of double-digit hitting streaks, including a career-longest 12-game run (Mar. 5-22)...Had four game-winng RBI...Threw out eight runners on stolen base attempts and picked off two other base-runners...Hit .328 with 40 hits and 17 RBI in 29 SEC games...named to the 2006 SEC Baseball Academic Honor Roll.

2004 Louisville slugger High School All-American and two-time all-state catcher at Olive Branch HS...Hit .469 with 55 RBI, 14 doubles, 12 HR and a .918 slugging percentage en route to Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year and Jackson Clarion-Ledger Mr. Baseball 2004 honors...Earned Memphis Commercial Appeal "Best of the Preps" honors for the third straight year...Honored as Olive Branch's MVP in 2004 and Desoto County Player of the Year...One of 35 players invited to compete in the U. S. Army High School All-American Baseball Game in Albuquerque, NM...Hit .469 with 44 hits, including 24 doubles, three triples and eight home runs and stole 12 bases and earned second-team all-state honors as a junior...Also played shortstop and in the outfield in high school...Hit nearly .460 as a four-year starter, driving in 158 runs and hitting 61 doubles and 28 home runs...Voted Mr. Olive Branch High School and inducted in the Conquistadors' Hall of Fame...National Honor Society member.
