| Biography: |
| Johnny Estrada was perhaps the most consistently productive offensive player the D'Backs had last season and yet the D'Backs included him in on offseason trade this year. The reason is equal parts the front office tired of Estrada's open mic style of criticism and the rise of Miguel Montero. The left handed hitting Montero has had offensive success at every level in the minors, and improved his defense dramatically in the last two years. He will likely open the season in a right/left platoon with Chris Snyder, but could claim the everyday job himself by the All-Star Break. |
