Sledge hit .370 with 10 hits in 27 at bats for the Portland Beavers. He had two doubles, a homer, three RBIs and five runs scored.
2006
Sledge hit .311 with 114 hits in 367 at bats over 101 games with the Portland Beavers. He had 18 doubles, five triples, 24 homers, 69 runs scored and 73 RBI's. Sledge also drew 59 walks and whiffed 75 times. The outfielder hit 11 homers over his final 26 games with Portland along with 29 RBI's.

Sledge was acquired by the Padres on December 20, 2005 in a trade with Texas along with Chris Young and Adrian Gonzalez for Adam Eaton, Akinori Otsuka and Billy Killian. |
