* Selected in the 28th round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Oakland A's.
* Spent freshman year of college with Wake Forest, but underwent Tommy John surgery in 2004 and transferred to Arkansas.
* Played for Arkansas and went 1-2 with a 3.42 ERA in 23.2 innings in 2006 before transferring to UNC-Greensboro in May 2006.
* Never pitched for UNC-Greensboro due to NCAA transfer rules.
* Was drafted in the 13th round out of high school by Pittsburgh.
