Career With Cubs' Organization
Selected in 17th round of 2004 draft from University of Dayton by the Cubs. (scout: Brian Williams) ... Named to 2004 post-season Northwest League All-Star team after going 6-1 with a 1.62 ERA in 33 1/3 innings for Class Low A Boise ... Struggled in 48 appearances for Class A Peoria in 2005, going 3-7 with a 5.54 ERA ... Appeared in 16 games for Class Low A Boise in 2006 and posted a 6.04 ERA in 22 1/3 innings ... had previous pitched for Class High A Daytona in eight games in '06, allowing 12 runs in 11 innings ... promoted from Boise to West Tenn on Aug. 23 ... pitched in five games in debut Double-A stint, allowing one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings, striking out eight and walking one ... Began 2007 at Class A Daytona; promoted to Double-A Tennessee May 17. |
