Geer was named MadFriars.com Pitcher of the Year.

Geer was named Texas League Pitcher of the Year and was a postseason All-Star.

Geer went 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in one start for Triple-A Portland. In six innings he allowed six hits and a walk while striking out six.

Geer went 1-0 with a 3.21 ERA over two Missions playoff games. In 14 innings he allowed 14 hits, did not walk a batter and struck out 10.

2006

Josh Geer went 6-2 with a 3.10 ERA in 12 starts for the Fort Wayne Wizards in 2006 before being promoted to Lake Elsinore. In 72.2 innings he allowed 72 hits, walked 13 and struck out 46. He ended his stretch in Fort Wayne with 25.1 scoreless innings.

Geer came off the DL on May 11, 2006 after spending one weeks on it to let a cut on his finger heal.

Geer went 7-4 with a 4.96 ERA over 15 starts with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 89 innings he allowed 116 hits, walked 16 and struck out 56. The opposition hit .316 off him with seven homers.

2005

Geer went 1-1 with a 4.25 ERA in five starts for Fort Wayne. In 29.2 innings he allowed 29 hits, walked nine and struck out 23.

Geer went 3-1 for Eugene with a 3.69 ERA in seven games, six starts. He allowed 35 hits and walked four in 31.2 innings.

Geer was selected by the Padres in the third round of the 2005 MLB Draft.
