| Biography: |
After two injury-riddled campaigns, Meyer finally was healthy and productive in 2007. The left-hander had his best season since joining the A's in a trade with Atlanta before the 2005 season. In 22 starts for Triple-A Sacramento and Double-A Midland, Meyer had a 3.39 ERA and 107 strike-outs in 119.1 innings.
Meyer appeared in six games at the major-league level with Oakland in 2007. In 16.1 innings, he had an 8.82 ERA and allowed 20 hits.
In 2006, Meyer appeared in only 10 games for Triple-A Sacramento before undergoing shoulder surgery in July. He was a first-round draft selection by the Atlanta Braves in 2002. |
