Sacramento River Cats

Season Record: 6-3

Top Performers of the Week:
Doug Clark: 9-22, 1 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 2 BB, 1 SB in five games. Clark is hitting .457 with 3 HR and 6 RBI on the season.

Daric Barton: 6-12, 7 R, 2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR (GS), 4 RBI, 5 BB in four games. Barton is hitting .357 with 1 HR, 7 RBI and 7 BB on the season.

Jeremy Brown: 5-11, 3 R, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 2 BB in three games. Brown is hitting .421 with 3 HR and 7 RBI on the season.

Charles Thomas: 5-14, 7 R, 4 BB, 1 SB in five games. Thomas is working on a six-game hitting streak and is hitting .333 on the year. He has also sparkled on defense out in center.

Juan Dominguez: 1 W, 5 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 4 K, 3 BB. After a disastrous season debut, Dominguez recovered with a solid outing on April 12.

Ron Flores: 1 W, 3.1 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 5 K. Flores has a 2.08 ERA in 4.1 innings of work this season.

Santiago Casilla: 2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 SV. Casilla allowed a run in his first outing, but he is working on a string of three straight shut-out appearances.

Midland Rockhounds

Season Record: 6-4

Top Performers of the Week:
Kevin Melillo: 14-26, 5 R, 3 2B, 4 RBI, 3 BB, 2 SB in six games. Melillo went 6-7 (!) in Midland's 20-10 win over Corpus Christi on Sunday. He is hitting .429 on the year.

Kurt Suzuki: 8-19, 6 R, 1 2B, 4 RBI, 6 BB, 0 K in five games. Suzuki has yet to strike out this season (32 AB) and is working on an eight-game hitting streak.

Jason Perry: 9-24, 7 R, 2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 2 BB in six games. Perry hit for the cycle against Corpus Christi on Sunday and is now hitting .357 for the year.

Vasili Spanos: 6-16, 3 R, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 2 BB in four games. Spanos has seven RBI in eight games this season.

Danny Putnam: 9-27, 3 R, 3 2B, 9 RBI, 2 BB in six games. Putnam has been streaky, but he already has four games with more than one RBI. He is hitting .279 with 14 RBI in 10 games this season.

Brad Ziegler: 1 W, 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 2 K. Ziegler moved to 2-0 on the season with another strong performance on Friday. Ziegler has allowed only eight hits in 13 innings over two starts this season.

Jason Windsor: 1 W, 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 7 K. Windsor picked up his first win of the season with a gem on Wednesday. He used a double-play to face only one batter over the minimum in six innings of work.

Tim Rall: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K, 1 SV. Rall is holding batters to a .174 BAA in 6.2 innings this season. He has two saves and six strikeouts in 6.2 innings of relief work.

Justin Crowder: 3.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K. Crowder allowed a run in his first outing, but he has been flawless since.

Stockton Ports

Season Record: 5-5

Top Performers of the Week:
Richie Robnett: 11-22, 5 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 2 BB in six games. Robnett raised his average from .154 to .371 this week. On the year, he has walked three times and struck out four times in 10 games.

Gregorio Petit: 7-25, 3 R, 4 2B, 1 RBI in six games. Petit is hitting .308 on the year.

Marcus McBeth: 3 RP, 3.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 3 SV. McBeth has four saves in four chances this season and has struck out seven in 4.2 innings pitched.

James Shull: 1 GS, 6.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 11 K, 0 BB. Shull was filthy on Friday night against Bakersfield. He has now struck out 16 batters in 11.1 innings this season and has walked only two.

Kane County Cougars

Season Record: 6-4

Top Performers of the Week:
Jeff Baisley: 7-18, 6 R, 1 2B, 3 HR, 6 RBI, 4 BB in five games. Baisley waited until Monday to get his first hit, but since then has raised his average from .000 to .212. He has homered in two straight games.

Steve Kleen: 9-19, 5 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB in five games. Kleen had a five-game hitting streak snapped on Saturday. He has raised his average from .167 to .355 this week. The righty is 6-9 on the season against left-handed pitchers.

Frank Martinez: 7-22, 7 R, 1 2B, 3 HR, 13 RBI, 5 BB in five games. Martinez has been the Cougars best hitter this season and is hitting .324 with 3 HR and 14 RBI and 8 R this season.

Mike Massaro: 8-24, 6 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 4 BB, 1 SB in six games. Massaro has been the Cougars lead-off hitter for most of the season. He has a .444 OBP and a .342 BA for the season.

Brad Davis: 1 W, 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K in two games. Davis has faced 25 batters this season and has allowed only one hit and one walk.

Jason Ray: 2 GS, 9.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 6 BB, 11 K. Ray struggled in his first outing but was unhittable in his second appearance. Ray allowed no hits in 5.2 innings on Saturday. He was stuck with a tough-luck loss when he allowed two unearned runs in the sixth. Ray struck out seven in his no-hit outing.
