Madsen was brilliant in his Triple-A debut.

It was a busy weekend throughout the Oakland A's system. Earlier, we detailed the many roster changes the A's made on Friday. We now take a look at some strong individual performances from Saturday and Sunday.

Pitchers: Mike Madsen: Madsen had a brilliant Triple-A debut on Saturday, twirling 7.2 shut-out innings in the first-place River Cats' 3-2 win over the second-place Tucson Sidewinders. Madsen allowed only four hits and two walks, while striking out six. His overall record this season is 7-4 with a 2.78 ERA in 16 starts. He has 95 strikeouts in 97 innings.
