Perry Dealt For Hannahan In Triple-A Swap

Perry was leading the River Cats in HRs.

The Oakland A's have swapped Triple-A sluggers with the Detroit Tigers, sending outfielder Jason Perry to Detroit for infielder Jack Hannahan. Neither Perry nor Hannahan were on the teams' 40-man rosters and did not have to clear waivers.

Jason Perry was leading all Oakland A's minor leaguers in homeruns with 23 homeruns (five with Double-A Midland and 18 with Triple-A Sacramento) at the time of the trade. He has been one of the biggest homerun threats in the A's system since he was acquired back in 2003. The versatile outfielder has seen time at all three outfield positions for Tony DeFrancesco's River Cats this season...
