Perry Dealt For Hannahan In Triple-A Swap

Perry was leading the River Cats in HRs.

The Oakland A's have swapped Triple-A sluggers with the Detroit Tigers, sending outfielder Jason Perry to Detroit for infielder Jack Hannahan. Neither Perry nor Hannahan were on the teams' 40-man rosters and did not have to clear waivers.

Jason Perry was leading all Oakland A's minor leaguers in homeruns with 23 homeruns (five with Double-A Midland and 18 with Triple-A Sacramento) at the time of the trade. He has been one of the biggest homerun threats in the A's system since he was acquired back in 2003.
